This Week’s Winner is Mark Tocci
“Ahhh…those wonderful memories of Sunday mornings growing up in Queens, New York. Awakened by the amazing aromas of simmering tomato sauce, meatballs frying, fresh perked coffee, and my Dad singing an aria from a great Italian opera. Can you think of a better way to start off a Sunday morning? I can’t. Meatballs, crusty Italian bread dipped in sauce, and strong, dark roast coffee. It was Heaven!
This was just a prelude of what was to come later, a fantastic Sunday dinner with the family. There were five of us–myself, brothers Steve and Marty, Mother Francesca, and Father Cosmo. Whether it was just us or our extended family and friends, Sunday Dinner was always special and unique! My Sicilian Mom was the greatest cook on the planet. She made every meal special, and a gastronomic delight.
Sunday was the day the family bonded together. Great music, food, and conversation; all of which stimulated the soul! I am so glad that I found Nicoletta’s Table. Shari and her wonderful staff are carrying on the tradition. When I eat here with my wife and friends, it’s always a special and memorable experience!”
